The 19-year-old Florida State University student who poured her chocolate milk on a Republican volunteer at the FSU campus, has been charged with battery.
According to WBTV, the Florida State University Police Department issued a warrant for Shelby Shoup on Thursday; the freshman turned herself over to the police department later in the day. Shoup “was placed into handcuffs and taken to the Leon County Jail,” says the report. She spent a night at the jail and was released the following day.

Sickening to see a member of @FSUGOP a group I’m proud to be in have chocolate milk thrown on her for campaigning . In the state constitution it says students are allowed to express their point of view on campus. This is a vile attack. pic.twitter.com/Wd9RQSqCrt
