Richard Sherman, who has been one of President Trump’s most vocal critics in the NFL is out for the season after suffering a brutal achilles injury.
Sherman famously tweeted this.
He also defended Colin Kaepernick.
From The Guardian
Richard Sherman, the Seattle Seahawks cornerback, says “people are missing the point” of Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest, as NFL players continue to wrestle with the debate that has made headlines around the league over the past few weeks.
Sherman, who declined to take questions at a news conference on Wednesday, said the protest’s aim was to bring people together to forge a better America, and that critics were mistaken if they thought Kaepernick and others were being unpatriotic.
Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman is done for the year after rupturing his Achilles on Thursday night.
Remember when Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman said that he may have had torn Achilles?
Well, looks like the feared season-ending tear is what took place on Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals, and this is horrible news for Seahawks fans.
So what Sherman said, and what he may have felt at the time, surely did match the severity of his injury.
The official word from Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was that Sherman suffered a “ruptured Achilles.” In other words, Sherman, the heart of the Seahawks legendary Legion of Boom, is done for the year, and the Seahawks secondary that was already playing without hard-hitter Earl Thomas has suffered yet another setback.
