The NFL just official put the final nail in their coffin.
The league just extended Roger Goodell’s contract to 2024 and gave him a raise.
Well, it was nice knowin’ ya NFL!
From The Daily Caller
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has officially finalized a contract extension.
Pro Football Talk reported the following Wednesday afternoon:
The Commissioner finally has a new contract.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL’s Compensation Committee has informed all owners that a new contract for Commissioner Roger Goodell has been executed.
And yes, Roger Goodell has signed a contract extension to remain as NFL commissioner through 2024, a league source confirms.

Sporting News also reported that the deal is for five years and worth up to $200 million. There hasn’t been any indication yet if he got the private jet for life he wanted.
Well, we all knew this was going to happen. Jerry Jones did the best that he could to derail this process, but Goodell ultimately won, and was paid handsomely for his efforts. Getting a five year deal for $200 million is absolutely nothing to sneeze or laugh at.
Now we’ll all just have to wait and see if he’s able to put an end to these anthem protests and the perception that he has no control over player discipline.
