The NFL’s negative influence on young athletes is becoming more apparent, but unlike the NFL, high school football coaches don’t look highly on disrespecting America.
After four starting players from Lansing Catholic high school decided to kneel for the national anthem at last Friday night’s game, they found out the hard way that they’re not playing in the NFL.
The four athletes were pulled from the starting lineup immediately, but say they don’t regret their decision to kneel.
According to the suspended football players, they decided to kneel in protest of what they say is “racial inequality.”
This is yet another example of how the NFL has negatively influenced the lives of young athletes, and as the professional football league continues to encourage its players to push division, this behavior will continue.
